How to use the estimate

The calculator is a planning aid, not an official quote. Mulebuy and the carrier decide the final line availability, chargeable weight, insurance options, and restrictions at submission time.

When this calculator is most useful

Use it after items arrive at the warehouse and before parcel submission. At that point you can compare packed weight, estimated dimensions, coupon value, and route risk against the official Mulebuy shipping quote.

Before you pay shipping

  • Check actual weight and volume weight, then use the larger number as the planning weight.
  • Use rehearsal packaging for shoes, jackets, bags, boxes, or any parcel where dimensions are uncertain.
  • Do not add unnecessary weight just to reach a coupon threshold if the higher parcel weight removes the savings.
  • Split parcels when sensitive categories, high value, or route restrictions create avoidable risk.

Example parcel planning scenarios

Parcel type What to enter Decision to make
Light clothing haul Actual weight, small dimensions, normal item category Compare coupon value against the final per-kg charge.
Shoes or boxed items Length, width, height, and any box-removal plan Check whether volume weight is higher than actual weight.
Mixed sensitive parcel Sensitive-item flag plus the estimated rate for safer lines Decide whether to split the parcel before shipping payment.

Next checks after estimating cost

If the estimate looks acceptable, move through the order checklist before payment. Confirm QC approval, route restrictions, coupon terms, tracking evidence, and support notes before submitting the parcel.

Why this page may differ from the shipping guide

The shipping guide explains route risk and planning logic. This calculator page is focused on a single task: entering weight, dimensions, rate, coupon value, and risk type so you can compare the practical cost before parcel submission.
